Thoughtful, laid-back wedding imagery for the modern couple

Your wedding is so much more than beautiful pictures, it’s a collection of photos that celebrate your love and commitment to one another, reminding you of the beaming joy you felt as you danced the night away, surrounded by your favorite people in the worldβ€” a collection that only becomes more valuable over time.

Aloha, I’m Ella!

Oahu wedding photographer, professional third wheel, chaser of the sun, and your friend with a camera.

I’m a Hawaii wedding photographer based in Honolulu, Hawaii. I specialize in documenting love stories and the magic of your special day.  I am drawn to bright light, pops of color, and the touches and traditions that make each wedding unique.

The experience:

I believe your wedding experience should be seamless and fun and your gallery should feel authentic and meaningful. My approach is simple: I combine technical expertise and an artistic eye with a friendly approach to create stunning, timeless photos. I use a mix of guided prompts and photojournalismβ€” I sense when to step in and give direction and when to be a fly on the wall and let a moment naturally unfold. This allows me to capture both the big and small moments of your dayβ€” ones that take you back to the whirlwind of emotions and exchanges and the quiet moments and subtleties of your wedding. Remembering every detail is impossible, which makes these permanent glimpses to reminisce on so meaningful. I’ll cover the sweet moments of the day as they unfold, fluff your dress, pin your boutonniere, shed a few happy tears, and check to make sure we’re on schedule so you can be fully immersed on your wedding day celebrating with your loved ones!

Whether you're planning an intimate elopement, micro wedding, local wedding, or a Hawaii destination wedding, I’ve got you covered! From the stunning beaches of Oahu to the lush landscapes of Kauai, I serve all of the Hawaiian islands, and I’m available for mainland weddings and destination weddings abroad.

 Why we’re meant to be:

Your relationship is unique and you believe your photos should reflect that. You want photos that look and feel like you!

You want to work with someone that takes some time to get to know you, not a stranger with a camera in front of your face.

You believe it’s more than just beautiful photosβ€” these moments will become part of your lives forever and hopefully, passed down to future generations.

How it works:

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • My wedding packages include myself and a second photographer the day of your wedding, an engagement session outfit guide, an engagement session, a custom photography timeline, edited high-resolution photos delivered in a private online gallery with print rights, and additionally, a custom box containing a USB of your wedding photos.

  • Absolutely! I include engagement sessions in my wedding packages because I think it’s important we have a chance to meet and interact in person prior to your wedding. This lets us know what it's like working together ahead of time, so your wedding day feels comfortable and relaxed and your photos best reflect who you are as a couple.

  • I am on Oahu (Honolulu area).

  • Yes! If you would like to have your engagement photos taken outside of Oahu, I am available (and super excited) to travel for it, as well.

  • Yes! Both a signed contract and a non-refundable deposit are required to officially book your date! All sessions are booked on a first-come-first-serve basis.

  • Yes! I carry a general liability policy, which many venues require from vendors. I always have a back-up camera body with me and multiple lenses, so if anything happens, we’re still good to go! I shoot on camera bodies that record to two memory cards at a time, which ensures all of your precious moments are safe with built-in backups. After your session, I import all the photos onto two different hard drives!

  • With a first look, you get a private moment to share in celebration of your love before the ceremony, which can be really special. A first look can help to calm nerves before your ceremony, you’ll get to spend more of your wedding day with your partner, and you’ll get more photos together!

  • Although Hawaii’s rainy season is November through February, rain showers can fall anytime, mostly on the northeastern (windward) side of the islands. Many times there will be quick passing rainstorms (a few minutes of rain at a time) that we can often work around or if you’re up for embracing it, the rain can make for some really amazing photos! If you are visiting during the rainy season, I recommend scheduling a session early on in your trip so if we need to reschedule, there is flexibility and another available date to do so before your trip ends.
